Starbucks - Gateshead

We visited Starbucks Upper Red Mall in Metrocentre today. We found a seat ..the place was quiet -not surprisingly. I cleaned the table with a wipe and awaited the drinks. Looking around i was shocked. There was litter all over the floor and a spillage that had been there long enough to dry up. There were many tables with bits of food and dirty cups on them. We only stayed because I needed the loo and quick break. Both staff behind the counter were busy chatting (despite all the mess) i ventured to the loo..Worst decision ever. Came straight out again without using it. There was used tissue on the sink, the floor and the around the toilet itself. There was no loo roll and worse of all there was a used sanitary product on TOP of the sanitary bin UNWRAPPED.

We had just arrived at the metro centre and decided to have a coffee before we started to shop. We had parked in the red mall,so the Starbucks was just their. Lovely polite staff. We ordered two coffee s. The coffee were very good.

Restaurant very dirty...engrained dirt not just from today...staff unwilling to wipe tables... food and drink thrown at you... a wholly unpleasant experience!

Popped into the upstairs Starbucks for a quick coffee and croissant this morning before shopping. The lady took my order and received my coffee quite quickly and then waited for my croissant and waited and waited. During this time people behind me were collecting their hot snacks, so I waited and waited. I then ask the lady who served me if I could have my croissant….no apology just “yes I’m getting it” I said I have been waiting a while and she look at me and said “I’m getting it”. Not what I expect and found her quite rude. Probably try another cafe in future

Just called in for a cup of tea (don 't like the coffee as its too bitter for us). What a waste of money, the 'tea ' had a strange taste, it certainly didn 't taste like tea more like dishwasher. We both had two sips and couldn 't take any more. Truly awful.
