The interior is spacious with a variety of seating options. There are plenty of vegan choices made with fresh, local ingredients. They also offer a hot and cold bar, delicious hot pizzas, and a charming floral area. Additionally, they have many unique and hard-to-find menu items.
This restaurant has the potential to be a great spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but unfortunately, the staff lacks experience in the restaurant industry. While the facility is well-maintained, the food is left sitting out until it is sold, indicating a lack of adherence to holding times. I observed that the food is not regularly replenished, and even saw a fly crawling on the tofu. The hot food bar and salad bar were not properly maintained, and I noticed a worker in the pizza area who looked unsanitary. These issues were even worse at the Memphis location on Poplar Ave. I believe that upper management should hire someone with restaurant operational experience to develop policies and procedures for maintaining food quality. Considering the price of $8.99 per pound, I expected much better quality. The lunch selection is better than the dinner choices, with the latter being only half as diverse. (Please see the photo of the fly on the tofu for reference.)
We come here from time to time, mostly for specialty or rare items. They usually have them 9 times out of 10, along with other items on your list (and many not on your list) at higher prices. It's enjoyable to browse, but not as enjoyable to make a purchase.
