Visit 2: We went back a few days later and tried some mixed grills. Once again, they did not disappoint. Having sampled food from over 50 Middle Eastern restaurants in the UK, I can confidently say that this little gem serves better food than any of them.
Without a doubt, this is the best Donair/kebab/etc. I've ever tasted. The freshly made pita really sets it apart from most places I've tried. The crunchiness of the cabbage and pickles was delightful; pickles are always a great complement to this flavor combination. The lamb was outstanding—I'm not sure if it's the charcoal grill or something else, but the meat was exceptional. Although the wait was long, it was actually a good sign; if it was that busy, it must be popular for a reason. I plan to return before I leave Glasgow!
The food is excellent, the prices are fair, and the customer service is outstanding. The staff is incredibly patient and efficient. Although the restaurant is quite busy and takes 15 to 30 minutes to prepare orders, we were more than happy to wait.
