The pork ribs were delish but thats where it stop. The salads along side all the meals looked like they had been lying under heat for about 2 hours. Limb cucumber and dry tomato and lettuce. It is fair to say the overall experience was disappointing.
The Bistro can cater for 15 up to 300 guests for parties and functions. The facility has 36 gaming machines, if you like that entertainment after your meal.Parking is free in the Bistro carpark; the car park is able to fit 150 vehicles; disabled car parks are available and special parking spaces for bikes. You walk straight from the car park into the alcove of the building, on your left is the "Gaming Room", to the right and upstairs is the function area. You walk straight a head into the dining area; so easy access for people in wheel chairs, people with walkers and for prams to enter the room. The night I attended the bistro, they had live music, with a musician playing the guitar. The club has a child's area.On Tuesday nights children eat for free. Other nights they have a cheap schnitzel or fish. The menu is varied and comprehensive, the menu offers about eight desertsEveryone at our table enjoyed there meals, which ranged from steaks to garlic prawns. The bar is fully licensed.Sunday mornings they offer breakfast between 9.00 am to 11.00 am; on nice days you are able to sit out on the terrace. The bistro advertisers it's self as the largest play ground in Adelaide; informing parents while they enjoy a coffee, there children can play on the Glenelg Oval, in safety. The service is efficient and unobtrusive.
We've only just moved to Glenelg South and have tried a number of establishments for lunch over the past few months. This is definitely the best food on offer anywhere. The menu is about what you'd expect but there are superb daily specials that set this place apart. The kitchen turns out meals that are consistently top-notch. If you ever see the Herb Crusted Pork Sirloin on the board try it. Amazingly tender, great flavour and so moist. I've tried a broad range of dishes and the quality of the ingredients is first-rate. The kitchen really know it's stuff. Service is friendly and efficient. The wine list could do with a revamp though.
Heard a lot of advertising for this place so thought we would check it out. Nice atmosphere, good service, good honest food
I had a gathering to celebrate my 60th Birthday in the Bay Bar & Bistro area for 50 people before returning to our home for some more drinks & yarns. Everyone enjoyed their meals from the bistro which were good honest servings and very enjoyable considering it was a mass order of various items from the menu. I would like to thank Kristen for the organization and Mitchell the Manager of the night, the bar staff and those in the kitchen for making everything happen smoothly. We all had fun & a good catch-up in pleasant surrounding & we shall return again since we are locals.
