THE PROMENADE RESTAURANT - Glenelg

This morning, we had breakfast at the Promenade restaurant. The man who was working in the front of the restaurant was extremely efficient, helpful, and friendly. It is rare to encounter such excellent service. Thank you.

I was disappointed with my dining experience at this restaurant. We were expecting a fine dining atmosphere with white tablecloths and silver service, similar to what we have experienced at other Stamfords. However, we were let down. The Feed Me menu was not impressive and did not showcase the chef's talents, especially when dessert was only waffles. My son enjoyed the nasi goreng, but overall it was a disappointing meal.

My friend and I recently went to the Coronation High Tea. We were seated at a table in the outdoor area, tucked away in the far corner. The food we had was delicious and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was decent, and we appreciated the presence of the beefeater. However, we found it frustrating that our waitress seemed to completely ignore us. Despite repeatedly trying to get her attention, she only seemed interested in bringing us tea. It was as if we were invisible to her. This lack of attentive service was disappointing and ultimately impacted our overall experience, leading us to give it a 3-star rating instead of the 5 stars it could have been. It appears that efficient customer service is not a priority at this establishment.

Celebrating 80th birthday. Family enjoyed a different experience. Views of the beach magnificent on a glorious autumn day. Food and wine delicious. Vegetarians catered for with individual platters. There was more than enough to satisfy us with some food left over.

Attended a function here Friday 7th April, service was appalling, food was average, coffee was awful. Waiting staff offered no table service, the 2 bar staff were incapable of coping, meanwhile 4 or 5 manager types stood by watched, at no time did they attempt to assist or call for extra staff, probably because the beverages were on a package and they wanted to keep the issue at a minimum. Based on my experience, I would not recommend holding a function at this venue.
