The poor effect lingered until the unpleasant experience was cancelled out with tea and biscuits cheerfully served up at the end of the home made art show. A sense of fun and pleasure is essential in even the smallest transactions.
After a little lack Lustre tour of the Museum of everything , decided to have coffee and a bite to eat . The Mona Cafe is at the main entrance to the museum staff were very friendly the Vegetable Quiche and Bacon & Egg pie were perfect , The Boys on Coffee did a great Job . Tad expensive but worth it
We ordered croissants and wraps for lunch and we're given a number to wait. We assumed since everything was sitting out it would be a minimal wait, a few minutes to heat up a ham and cheese croissant but it took forever to the point we went and double checked we weren't supposed to go back and get our food or they'd forgotten. Wasn't worth the wait and they weren't even busy it was only 11:30 when we ordered and no line.
Room with a view! The cafe inside the MONA gallery is sleek, modern, clean and good selection of both hot and cold food. Seating outside with an amzing view, plenty inside also for chillier days. Food selection is healthy and appertising, make sure you have enough time to enjoy before your return journey.
We visited last week. Went through the museum first then onto lunch into the cafe. We had the chicken wrap and a vegetable pie slice. Plenty to eat and very good quality. Staff excellent with quick, happy service. Well done Mona.
