Queens Fish Chips - Gloucester

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! It’s been 2 hrs since my order the lady was rude and hung the phone up several times I’m absolutely fuming my son has had to bed with cereal for dinner. DISGUSTING PLACE

Ordered food at 7.30pm still waiting at 9.20pm called Queens and the lady was rude told me the food had been collected an hour earlier and nothing to do with Queens take it up with delivery driver I would if l could find him don’t order

The food at Queens chip shop is ok although the customer service is extremely dreadful. On multiple occasions, me and my partner have experienced the staff being extremely rude such as clearly speaking about us in their own language and laughing at us. The first time we gave it the benefit of the doubt but as it has happened again we won’t be returning and we know of others who have experienced the same treatment!! Basic customer service should be shown!!

Reviews for this place are mixed. I ordered from the takeaway and then ordered again seven days later to check the accuracy of my first impression. Here is what I found. Both times I ordered cod and chips. The cod was the best I have ever eaten: the batter was crispy and the fish inside was fresh and chunky. It was absolutely delicious. I was delighted. The chips, however, were a let down on both occasions. They were okay and better than most of the chips I have bought from fish and chip shops but they really let the superb fish down. In short they needed to be cooked for an extra 60 seconds and at a higher temperature and served piping hot. Portions were very generous. Next time I might throw away the chips and just pig out on the superb fish.

The best fish and chips I have eaten in a long time... top quality food always.. the fish is always fresh and the batter is one of the best I've tried.
