When we arrived there was no one to show us to our table at the 'wait here to be seated' sign which kept us awkwardly waiting...the meals eventually arrived after waiting over an hour and the dishes were hit and miss. I was told the lamb salad and beef schnitty were both nice but the steak which was supposed to be cooked medium arrived blue and the pulled pork nachos contained just beans and crushed tomato with near to no pulled pork!! The salad bar was well below average also...
All we wanted was a quick pub lunch and a cold beer on the weekend. But what we got was a cluster-duck* of poor service, and well below par everything. Walked into the bistro and waited 5 mins at the sign that said 'please wait to be seated', considering that all the staff made we contact with us but kept going about their business meant that we showed ourselves to a table outside. The beer garden was half full, very nice and the misters worked well to keep the heat away. But as we sat down we noticed that the table had been cleaned with either honey or lemonade. It was filthy and sticky... really sticky. So I took the liberty of cleaning it myself with a glass of water and some napkins. We ordered from the menu (standard pub food on offer), and waited patiently for our meals, very patiently. At the 45minute mark it was getting a bit ridiculous for 5 meals. So we asked the chef and he barked back 'yeah yeah yeah give me 5minutes mate'. Meals were eventually ready for us to pick up. They were poorly presented, but that aside it's very hard to compliment the chef when your burger is hot but your bacon is cold. When you cook a salmon fillet then chuck bottled sweet and sour source on top. When chips makes up more than half the meal.

We came for dinner on Friday, 16th December 2016, for a mate's birthday. 3 couples and 3 young kids. The adults ordered their meals at 7.45pm ( 3 steak meals, salmon, ceasar salad and calamari meals). Was told there was a 30 to 40min wait. At 9.15pm the meals started to arrive with the last one, the salad arriving at 9.25pm! Thank god they had a good kids area to keep the young ones occupied for the 2 and a bit hours for the adults to get their meals and eat them, seeing it was well and truly after their bed time by the time we were fed. It wasn't that busy! I've been to much busier nights at the Waterloo, Gepps Cross, Mawson Lakes and Para Hills Club/hotels without such a wait!!! We received no updates, not even an offer of a free drink while we waited. The meals were ok but nothing special. We will not waste our time returning again. Para Hills Club and other hotels are better value, without the wait!
Ordered a chicken shnitza at 7pm and didn't get it til about nine mate. Disgraceful, told me because I had a billabong t on that I wasn't worthy of normal standard. It wasn't the dress code, it was the chef probably having a durry instead of making my hot chips and gravy. Look I know it's family night out but me and my family deserve a chicken filet. Pick up ya standards
