Novel Cafe - Governors Bay

Love this place. I come here a lot with my toddler as we frequently go to the library and it's great to stop for coffee and a snack. It's very child friendly. The staff are very welcoming, coffee is great and food is delicious. Tried the salad today and it was really good. Great to see you do a kids lunch box now too, I'll get the little one to try it out next time

Definitely a gem for South Library. The staff is not only friendly and welcoming, but also professional in making excellent coffee (but forgot to add caramel syrup in my coffee once. The spot has a mind-relaxing view on a quite river, a grassy green area with randomly some dog walkers passing. My most favourite cafe and spot for self-study and reading in Christchurch.

Amazing coffee. Best cheese scones on the planet. Cannot be faulted.

Best brownies you will find! Excellent coffee, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff. How wonderful that such a great cafe is attached to a public library.

Nice staff, nice coffee. A friendly, laid-back Café located inside a library. Novel Café is a real asset to the library, making the library an even better place to visit.
