We found this restaurant inside the park and I am sorry to say this but with all due respect, this restaurant's food was not even as good as school lunches : but if you are looking for some good French fries you could get a good snack and that is all. The management needs to do something about it. Service was ok, we had a very nice lady. Ambiance was ok
Really not that great. Very disappointing. Ordered food and beverage and took awhile to come out. Forgot some stuff and not that great the food. Too bad. Lodge is cute and right by rim.
Cocktail tasted like it was a drink without alcohol. We ordered 3 of the double burgers. All were burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Yuck. I'm so glad none of us ended up sick. I gave 2 stars because it did have air conditioning which was nice after being out in the heat.
If you've ever wondered if a restaurant could get it all wrong, the answer is yes. This place has figured out how to mess up the simplest of foods. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, the chicken was raw. Cesar salad, bland and served with ranch. Kids menu fries, over fried and the side fruit, probably collected and left out from the week before. Service was mediocre, waitress didn't know her own menu. I don't know how a restaurant can just live with the terrible reviews and do nothing about it. Sadly we wasted an hour of our trip at this restaurant and now my stomach hurts.
We took the train to the Grand Canyon and the person in charge of our train car advised us to hit this Bright Angel Restaurant. Our train rep told us if we wanted to have enough time to enjoy the Grand Canyon, we needed to make a bee line for this restaurant to beat the lines because the lines form quick, and they never get any shorter. And it could take an hour or more just trying to get lunch so do that first . I mean we were really sold on the idea that this was THE place. So when the train stopped we practically ran to beat everyone else. We were first in line, got seated right away and so proud of ourselves for being so quick. I say first in line but you know what? There was nobody behind us. At some point everyone else must 've veered off in another direction. As if they knew something we didn 't. The place was eerily quiet... almost empty even. We got our food, ate, left, and still there was no line. It 's like everyone was in on a big joke and we were left out. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the bison burger. The pulled pork tasted like canned pork beans. As for the bison burger... I understand that bison burgers are generally pretty dry, but I didn 't expect it to be tasteless. The burger had a patty, one tomato, a small piece of lettuce and that 's it. No sauces, nothing. I put ketchup, mustard, and mayo to give it some taste. But with every bite all you tasted was the condiments. I could understand if you tell me it is an acquired taste but I couldn 't even find the taste to acquire. If that wasn 't bad enough the two people who were bussing the table behind us were just chatting like they were in a bar. It was one guy and a girl, and the guy was actively (and loudly) asking to take the girl out somewhere, and the girl was actively deflecting the invitation. The restaurant was fairly empty, and their voices carried. I was listening to this while eating and it went on for about 5 mins. It was a very awkward dining experience. The only saving grace was that our server was very nice and attentive... wish I could remember her name. Anyway, I can 't speak for the other food joints in the park as this is the only one I tried, but I CAN say stay away from this one.
