Blue Willow Tea Shop - Gravenhurst

I would give this place 5 stars rating in previous years and 2 stars this year. It is a nice cute place, location is great. However , it became a real tourist trap unfortunately . They have afternoon tea for 30 per person after tip and tax or high tea which is 50 pp after tax and tip. We've had both many times in the past and the difference is very minimal between these 2 options food wise.. 30 is ok value , 50 isn't really worth it, quality and quantity wise. So, now, they only have 30 option on the weekdays , not the weekends , i called them and they said that only more expensive option for 50 pp is available on the weekend . On top of everything, once you come there, they try to push you into 50 option of course ,unless you clearly state that you want 30 option of afternoon tea .It is a nice place overall, i understand why the business owners do it all the time, however for a customer, the value and the whole experience went downhill a lot this year. Worth trying once , if you are into high tea experience anyways.

My cousin and I went here on the spur of the moment. What a wonderful and fun experience! The food was fresh , the treats (desserts) delightful. The service was excellent. I really enjoyed the three tiered presentation and the view from our table. Well done, Blue Willow Tea Shop!

A fabulous spot for English tea . My friend and I were absolutely delighted with our lunch yesterday, presented as an English style tea . The food was very tasty and beautifully presented (including sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, jam and an assorment of dainty treats. The ambience overlooking the bay on one side and gorgeous displays of full Royal Doulton tea services on the opposite wall was delightful. I love this kind of event. The Blue Willow Tea Room provided an experience that was equal to or superior to any I have had at high tea at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa and was a quarter of the price. I highly recommend this little treasure in Gravenhurst.

Had crepes and tea with a beautiful view of the Lake Muskoka. So cute inside the owners and staff are very friendly and great service. Nice and clean too
