Pastry on cake tasted like it had been cooked on a dirty burnt baking tray. The sausage roll was sooo salty my tongue tingled. £4.80 for three pastry items extravagant prices for the quality of the products. Sorry, but will not be back.
I stopped in early one morning before an 8-hour shift and grabbed a sausage roll from this bakery. I spent the entire 8-hour shift thinking I can’t wait to go back to that bakery. It was hands down the best sausage roll I’ve ever had. The staff were happy and full of smiles.
The food was average and overpriced, and the service was lacking any warmth or friendliness. I see no reason to return to this restaurant in the future.
The staff are unfriendly especially the female owner, over priced for the quality of the food. I have never used a dine in service where you order at a counter. On the door there is a free wifi sign, when the owner was asked for the wifi code she stated in a rude manner that they have decided not to give it out to customers. My colleague and myself where very disappointed and as key workers we where shocked at the lack of social distancing and protection from COVID-19. My colleague and I will never be going back again to Gingers, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
