Don Camillo - Graz

I was really excited when i first found this restaurant! it’s not easy to find an italian restaurant with gluten free options... i was so excited but when i ordered my first gluten free pizza to go, i was very very disappointed. not only did...it cost €15!!!!! but the pizza looked terrible. the cheese had slid off the pizza into the corner of the box and there was almost none left on the actual pizza... when i got home i tried to scrape it off to put it back on the pizza but i couldn’t scrape it off with out getting pieces of the cardboard box with it. such a disappointment!! i mean not only did i spend €15 on a pizza, but i spent €15 on a pizza where only half of the cheese was actually edible... definitely not worth it. so, never again.

I arrived at a busy time and sat on the fringe of the seating area as everyone was outside due to the heat. The menu card arrived quite quickly but that’s the only think that was quick. It took 20mins before someone took my order...(soup and pizza )and I ordered another beer. 35 mins later the pizza turned up, it w could have done with 2 more mins in the oven as the base was too soft and the cheese just melted. Rather than waiting to pay I went inside only to find young people preparing drinks etc and looking like they didn’t want to be there. Ok I read some of the reviews about the food and service but decided to take a chance. The wrong choice This place is more about turning out food as fast as Mac D’s is. The bycicles for the delivery’s were leaving ever 6 mins. Avoid if you done want to be disappointed

The don camillo is beautiful and centrally located in the inner city of graz. the card is very extensive, from pizza, pasta to meat everything is available. from my appetizer, a tomato-mozarella salad, I was a little disappointed. the mozarella was quite dry. for the price but fair. the pizza was very good, large and richly occupied. the service is friendly but somewhat inattentive. all in all a good address.

The food at this restaurant was just okay. It was convenient because it was right next to Hotel Daniel where we stayed.

Essential service, good food, great location in the historic center. local a little old but still clean.
