Brooks Place B Q - Great Wood

I've had Kansas, Tennessee, and Texas styles of BBQ. None compares to what I experienced at Brooks Places. I thought I was going to grab and eat on the go. That did not happen, I ended up eating in the parking lot. My brisket had flavor, it was tender, it was fresh, and delicious. Mr. Brooks has something going on here in Cypress. If you are looking for a better-than-good BBQ spot, go to Brooks Place. You will not be disappointed!

The food at this place is absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is also incredible with the music and benches filled with friendly people. The brisket sandwich was soooo tender. Would love to go again! ?

This is absolutely amazing bbq from a kind man who generously gives back to the community. You will LOVE the brisket bbq baked potatoes, and the mac and cheese is the world's best. Support this local BBQ restaurant you won't regret it!

I just ate here a few hours ago with a lovely friend and I have to say that I was impressed by the brisket. We both ordered the quarter pound sandwich. The brisket was both very flavorful and tender. I read some of the other reviews about there being bad customer service and something about the owner treating black people bad. I didn't have that experience. The gentleman was respectful and engaged in conversation when I asked him questions. Me and my friend are both black as well as the gentleman working behind the counter (not sure if he was the owner though). But I thought the signs he has up were hilarious and I felt very safe being there. I would definitely return to try other items on the menu in the near-future.One thing to keep in mind is that, seating is outdoors only so if you're dining in, dress accordingly or take it home.
