Moved to the peninsula not long ago. GF told me she was keen on burguers so I walked in this place not knowing what to find. I was very well welcomed by the guy at the counter who explained me things, asked and gave suggestions. Got a special with chicken and fries, karage and a cheese burguer. Short after I ordered, people were queuing to order which seems have a decent amount of customers (made me think food was good). Opened up at home and burguers were so tasty. First time here. We came to watch our son’s game in the area and needed to fuel up on food after and found this spot. Owner has good customer service. Very friendly and recommended a dish butter honey, which my son I ate and enjoyed. Big Bird Burger was yummy as. Fried chicken was delicious. Over all we loved this spot and my family will be back again for more. Chunky chook is an amazing hidden gem. Tank the owner is a legend and super nice guy. One of my good mates put me on to this spot and wow, I can’t believe I haven’t heard of it before. Best fried chicken in Auckland. We got the donburi style honey bbq fried chicken. This place is a must try! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
