The chicken (wings) and waffles were worthy of a Michelin star. The fries were as good as any I've had in Pittsburgh, home of the world's greatest fries. Friendly service, great beers on tap. Just perfect.
This roadside stop has a wide selection of food that is elevated beyond your usual diner food. Prices are reasonable, and portion are generous. The Flying Spatula was featured on the Food Network's "You've Got to Eat Here".
As a vegetarian there are some things you just miss...like poutine! Well they offer vegetarian poutine...I had it with the falafel burger...yummy! Seriously you gotta eat here! Lpcally sourced food and craft beer...
Almost missed this place after a friend recommended it. comfort food is what they have here and we were very happy
Arrived at 12:30, only the buffet was available. Two of the trays were empty and were never refilled. The food was cold and dry, I wonder if it had been sitting out since 9am? Bacon and omelets made to order were very good. Service was poor, friendly but was never offer a second cup of coffee, juice or ice tea, water was luke warm with no ice. Restaurant seemed dirty. We watched 8 people be seated and leave after learning there was no menu service on Sundays (which is what we wished we had done). Bathroom faucet and toilet were loose and needed repair. Unfortunately there isn't much choice to eat in Flesherton.
