Wood Fired Pizza - Grottoes

Although the dining area restrooms could use a remodel this establishment has an authentic feel. The food is great. The service has always been good. We live to support our local businesses.

Great food, and ok service. Had a great selection of wine and beer. Their pizza was just right and the mozzarella sticks were the best I've had!

If you're ever in the Grottoes area, this is the best actual meal you'll find. DO NOT GO TO CIRO'S! Trust me. The atmosphere inside is pretty decent for the area it's located in; classic Italian restaurant. The pizza is decently good, good pasta dishes, good prices and the staff (the few times I've been there) were always okay. Nothing to complain about with this place.

I was overcharged for a pizza and the owner wouldn't apologize. I ordered a half meat lovers pizza size large which is $16.99. I was told I could order up to 3 other toppings on the other half so I ordered 3 veggies. I was charged for all three of the extra toppings and the total came to almost $23.00. I could have ordered two small pizzas and would have paid less. When I placed the order I was not told that there would be an extra charge for the other half of the pizza. To not even apologize is a huge customer service problem and will NOT be ordering from them in the future.

So just ate here today.. Seriously do not waste your time or money. The place has gone downhill which is a shame they used to have the best buffalo wings and there pizza is still half decent. Besides that though the food was subpar they don 't have any appetizers. Wings are gone btw. The grilled cheese we ordered for the kid was made with the butt of the bread in a dry pan with no butter. They tried to hide it by flipping the bread. When approached about this the waitress was so out of it you could of smacked her a 2x4 and she would have wondered what kind of wood it consisted of. The manager was rude with a what 's your problem attitude and advised using the butt of the bread is what they use for grilled cheese. When told we would never eat there again she said that 's fine. Sup par food. Crappy service. And overpriced. Paid 50 bucks to get crapped on.
