Rose & Crown - Guildford

The duck parfait & the crumble were excellent, the pork was good apart from the pickled cabbage, (not a fan). My partner enjoyed all her meals.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It offers a wide variety of dining and drink options all in one location. You can choose to dine in a beautiful spacious garden surrounded by trees, a charming antique-style dining room for a more intimate setting, a larger dining room with a restaurant feel, or even a hidden cellar with its own well. I highly recommend visiting this place as it perfectly blends modern dining with old-world charm in my opinion.

The food at this restaurant may be a bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it with delicious dishes and large portions. The staff are exceptional and deserve top marks. The only downside is that it can get uncomfortably hot in the beer garden. Adding a few large fans and more shade would greatly improve the experience.

The atmosphere, presentation, and service at this restaurant are top-notch. I would give it 5 stars for sheer brilliance, but there were some gaps in the overall experience. While the food looked like it deserved 5 stars, it didn't quite live up to expectations, so it's best not to get too adventurous with your order. I would suggest rethinking the chicken curry dish and marinating the chicken in the sauce beforehand to enhance the flavors.

The staff were super lovely and made mother day super relaxing with my mum. Good music and great location for just drinks or sitting down with food. Had the chip and some yummy rice balls (don't remember the name). Always love comming here.
