Rare Bird Brewery - Guysborough

This restaurant has been closed for a year and currently has no plans to reopen anytime soon.

We were over Monday when they were closed. So I bought some bottles or their Red Ale in a nearby NSLC store. We really enjoyed it, so we came back on Wednesday when they were open. I had a few speeches and my wife tried the sampler. They just ran the Full Steam Stout so we couldn't try it. You have a very nice back deck overlooking the port. One of the Tall ships that had just arrived in Halifax. A very nice stop for a few cold.

The fish and chips were excellent, and the maple beer was quite unique. However, the service could use some improvement as it was quite slow.

Beautiful building and view, good food when they are serving

My review is about the Rare Bird Red Ale bottled on August 1, 2016. I bought at the NSLC in New Minas a couple of days ago, there are three possible things wrong with the beer. Taste was excessively tart on the tongue such that you have an infected beer?2. was the beer finished with fermentation, i.e. at the expected final gravity?3. could you have added too much priming sugar?
