The atmosphere is fantastic—definitely not your typical Mexican restaurant; it has a more elevated vibe and is a bit pricier. Perfect for a special occasion! By the way, how are the churros?
It's like a whole new Rosa! The management has changed, and the new general manager has really transformed the restaurant. From the interior decor to the menu, the updates are vibrant, modern, and incredibly noticeable, making it worth a visit again. My favorite drink has always been the pomegranate margaritas—they're strong and flavorful. As for the food, I'm still exploring the new menu, but so far, the Birria Tacos are my top pick. They pack great flavors and are the perfect size! When it comes to dessert, I'm not usually a dessert person, but I didn't care for the flan. However, the churros were a delightful surprise! The sauces that come with the churros are like a party in your mouth—so delicious! I can't wait to try more.
I was eager to try Mexican food again, and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint! The guacamole (mild) was incredibly flavorful, with just the right amount of spices, and it paired perfectly with the bacon bits. The burger was fantastic, and the empanadas and enchiladas were generously filled. The mango margaritas and beers were the perfect way to wash it all down! I left feeling completely satisfied, with no room for dessert!
Two. Once visiting this place, and had a completely different experience compared to the 1st visit, so reviews for both visits. 1. Visit 2019 (5 stars) Simply loved the atmosphere, fresh guacamole made at your table, timely service, strong drinks and the few dishes we tried really tasted good.. 2. Visit Cinco de Mayo 2022 (3 stars) Did not feel much of celebrity, Tableside Guacamole was not made table page, and the girls at the Hostess Station (it gave 3 girls were constantly talking to me why not) The restaurant was renovated, so there were some delays in service.. Also looks as if they were going for an American version for their appearance and feeling, as the renovations and the new menu, looked different than the funny, colorful Mexican restaurant previewed it. Beverages tasted good, but felt like they were diluted, especially at the price. Much more dishes ordered than the previous visit (larger group) and most of them tasted good, but the quality and quantity was inconsistent.. Like some of the sides and appetizers had large portions and tasted great while some of the Entrées overpriced.. Will probably be back after the renovations are completed.
The girls and I got together for Cinco de Mayo and chose this spot. When I arrived I didn't locate the restaurant right away because there was no sign. It is located in the shopping plaza next to PF Chang. I walked in and gave the reservation name. The DJ was bumping. I wanted to sit by the bar area but there were no available tables. We were sat and served by Elena and she was very nice and not frazzled by the busy restaurant. I started with the red sangria and I will say it was good but it was a bit pricey for a small cup of sangria. I then had a frozen margarita and that was a bit weak. We ordered different entrées and I got the shrimp tempura tacos and they were quite small and not filling. One of the girls got a noodle shrimp meal that she sent back because she didn't care for it and got salmon which she liked. The chips and guacamole were good. The food also took quite a bit to come out as well. I expected a little more fun for Cinco de Mayo but it was an ok experience.
