We sat at an empty table a lovely spot by the entrance to the restaurant a big chunk wooden table with seats to match. Several minutes later we were asked by the waitress to move because we are expecting a group of 6 and we need this table . We moved to a nasty table, away from the restaurant. An hour later, the large table was still empty and the waitress wouldn 't look us in the eye she knew she 'd been found out. I don 't know why they didn 't want us to sit there but I know I don 't like being lied to. When the bill came a 10% tip had been added we didn 't pay it.
It is Located in the Heart of London, one of the best food i ever eat. The service was nice and friendly.
I live locally to this restaurant and was delighted to see a new restaurant open up. I 've visited Efes several times now and on each occasion I 've been disappointed. First visit the advertise Omelettes on the menu but the chef who cooks them is off today Second visit, the chef stops cooking them at 1pm (we 're there at 2pm) but we normally serve them till 3pm, so try again Third visit I should have had wedges as an accompaniment but was brought chips (my companion had chips as part of his meal). I enquire what happened to the wedges, was told they didn 't have them, and then 10 mins later a giant portion arrive (after I 'd eaten half my chips. Final visit I order grilled sea bream with chips over the phone and am told to collect in 40 mins, when I arrive I 'm told they no longer do that dish and am invited to choose again (and wait a further period). They said they couldn 't call me back, but my mobile number hadn 't been withheld. It 's pure incompetence every time. I won 't be back!
As part of a group of 25 work colleagues, friendly staff and very tasty eating. we had the set menu on £35 was a bit expensive for what we had. I had the mixed schish main course with a few chips. both the chicken and the lamb were cooked to perfection, juicy and full of taste. had given 5 stars, but for the price and a few colleagues only got their main course after most people were finished.
It was our first time. For a Sunday it was very busy which is always a good sign. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who offered us a sit of our choice. The menu was very well presented and we get to see what the food looks like before you order. We decided on the mixed grill which was a mountain of different kebabs.. Our favourite was the kofta and chicken wings.. Everything tasted great. We had so much that we had two big containers as our take home. Price wise, it was very well priced for the huge portions. I will be surprised if anyone leaves this place hungry!! Will definitely visit another of the branches again...
