Instead of a complicated menu of coffee drinks (macchiato, piccolo, cortado, cappuccino, latte, etc. botschaft osten keeps it easy: they can choose between espresso, black, white or filter; and between three sizes (4oz, 6oz, 8oz.) but don't worry if you want a flat white, they'll know what to do!
As always east london never fails to offer a hipster-eatery, and botschaft ost really fits this title. with excellent breakfast, good trips and even better coffee, embassy east is an oasis for food lovers in the busy hoxton market street. Hey, we've even beaten russell brand for a place of the brekkie. next to my hipster generalisms (sorry), the ost botschaft is actually a beautiful breakfast place. the menu is refreshingly simple and yet packed with small surprises like heggis, eier menem and sardinen on toast. the prices range from £3 for caramelized grapefruit to £10 for eggs and meat (more on) we visited on a cold and rainy Saturday morning, almost missing the...more
A beautiful place to see the world through the picture window with a coffee. my latte was fab. on the first look at the menu I have a little to the trips for sandwiches. but my haggis toastie turned out both delicious and enormous when he drowned in butter. many of filing, and the discs of good brown brot were three quarters of a customs thick. it was so generous that I took half of it home.
As always, East London never fails to offer a trendy ice cream spot, and Embassy East truly lives up to this reputation. With outstanding breakfast options, great service, and even better coffee, this restaurant is a food lover's oasis in the bustling Hoxton Market Street. The menu is refreshingly simple yet full of delightful surprises like haggis, eggs Menem, and sardines on toast. Prices range from £3 for caramelized grapefruit to £10 for eggs and meat. During our visit on a cold and rainy Saturday morning, we almost missed the charming wooden sign hanging above the door. We were warmly greeted by Chris, who seated us by the window and handed us the menus. We ordered a flat white, cappuccino, eggs and meat, and a special Iberico ham dish with pea butter, fried eggs, and asparagus. The coffee arrived promptly in beautiful pastel cups, and both drinks were delicious. The food came 15-20 minutes later, and the portion sizes and presentation exceeded our expectations. The special dish with asparagus was a unique combination that worked well together, and the ham was incredibly tender with a rich flavor. The egg and meat dish was simple but satisfying, with perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful haggis and crispy bacon pieces. Overall, Embassy East impressed us with their delicious food and generous portions. We will definitely be returning, especially for a hearty breakfast before a busy day ahead. A visit to Hoxton Market and Columbia Road on a Sunday would make for a perfect outing.
