Kinosuke - Hakone

Found this place very close to train station in Hakone on our way to see Mt Fuji. Food is worth the wait under the sun, about 15 minutes. We are accustomed to waiting in line for good food in Japan, that makes the experience even more valuable. The service was quick so we did not have to wait long for the food after the order was placed. Grilled fish set was yummy. Fresh and flavorful. We loved everything we had. May not be suitable for people who are not familiar with eating fish with bones, apart from fillet. Highly recommended!

Absolutely beautiful meal! We got here 5mins before it opened and it was a great decision as it gets full really fast. The tempura vegetables and fish were standout dishes. Great draught beer too Quick and friendly service

Thankfully it was one of the only places still open after 7pm for dinner. Queue here was understanbly pretty long, had to wait for about 45mins to be seated but food was pretty good and worth the wait. The cucumber pickles were pickled to perfection, not too salty and very juicy. The grilled mackarel in teriyaki, grilled horse mackarel and grilled alfonsino were smoky, tender and oh so tasty. Perfect paired with a mug of cold beer for a cold night in Hakone.

We really enjoyed our lunch here after getting off the train at Hakone-Yumoto Station before taking the bus to our Ryokan. The restaurant is very close to the train station. The grilled fish and chicken were seasoned just right! Highly recommended if you're visiting Hakone!

Very good place for saba and other Charcoal grilled food. Service is great. Food is great. We were on the outside at 7.15pm and waited about 15 minutes to get a table of 3 for us. Turnover is quite fast but nobody is there to chase us.
