We were very disappointed to see that they had modernized This quaint little fish and chips restaurant. We've been coming here for 15 years. When we visit halfman Bay and we loved how there was just open benches. And seating with umbrellas. When we went, it was supercrowded and the hostess. She had no idea what she was doing, and we tried to get a table and she ended up giving our table to someone else and forgot about us.We definitely liked it better. When you could just walk in and order your food and sit outside on community benches. It definitely used to give a feel of a small coastal town. We ended up leaving and going downtown to find a place.
Good harborside restaurant. Seems like a local place. I was there as tourist. If I pass through again I will likely stop again. Staff was very friendly. Fish and chips was delicious. You are steps away from a working fishing harbor. The fish comes in fresh each day. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in half Moon Bay. Entrance is not obvious. Walk towards the docs passing the fish market on your right. The entrance is in the middle of the back side of the building.
First time trying this restaurant. I was hunting crab lunch. We sat on the patio facing the marina. They put heaters out for us since it was a nice day but the chill comes up in the afternoon. The server was nice. I had the Dungeness crab sandwich. Fresh crab and crispy toasted bread. Absolutely what I was looking for. My companion had the seafood tacos and loved them. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant that fills up quickly at high times. I would definitely come here again.
Amazing food, drinks, ambiance, vibe, and service. Live flamenco playing was a great touch.
