Shiki Japanese - Half Moon Bay

Shiki Japanese restaurant was recommended locally by a Half Moon Bay while we visited this last February. I'm so glad we decided to come in. Later I ate the Asian flavors and sushi, so this stop really hits the point. We stopped quite early in the evening at 5:00. We were warmly welcomed when we entered and sat right away. The restaurant appears clean and the service was very good. We have penetrated the menu and decided to order a small dish and a few rolls. We decided on the grilled asparagus beef, delicate ribeye round crunchy asparagus spear with sesame seeds and a teriyaki sauce, the shrimp tempura hand roll, shrimp tempoura and crab with avocado and cucumber and tuna, sky spicy tuna with tempoura cracked inside with seared tuna with spicy house, Mayris We were offered with plenty of water, ginger and soy sauce. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. We finished everything between us and it was a lot of food to fill us for the rest of the night. The prices were reasonable. Beer and wine are offered as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We enjoyed a glass of red with our meal. We would return if we were looking at Half Moon Bay and Sushi!

We haven't been here since Covid. I am pleased to find out today that they are still in business and the quality of food and service are the same high bar!

I love this place. I come at least once a week. The sushi rolls are delicious. My favorite is a phili. The staff is super friendly and always enjoy coming here.

We ordered a spider roll. It is small portion for its price. The taste is just average. Nothing special. It is located inside a strip mall, no view. The waitress was indifferent. Service is average.
