Bicycle Thief - Halifax

Il richiamo all'arte cinematografica italiana è evidente. L'arredamento esprime stile e originalità. Un mix tra foto, lampade, bottiglie di vino che non infonde nostalgia o melanconia per il passato, ma l'orgoglio e la rivendicazione per il riscatto e l'affermazione mai indisponente di quanto si può realizzare con l'impegno e la tenacia. Una specie di paradigma della terra che ospita il ristorante. Ma che trae ricchezza di sapori, per esempio dal mare. Non aspettatevi la varietà dei piatti italiani e i loro inconfondibili aromi e profumi, ma quelli ordinati, aragosta, halibut, gamberi, cozze erano decisamente squisiti. Scetticismi sugli spaghetti come guarnizione scongiurati dal primo approccio. Contorni validi. Lista vini adeguata.

We’re from Ottawa and we absolutely loved The Bicycle Thief!! We ate there twice during our day stay in Halifax. Everything was perfect! Karla (or Carla) provided us with excellent service. We loved her cheerful personality. She covered our mussels appetizer during our second...visit even though she wasn’t serving us. Thank you!!! That’s amazing customer service. We will definitely recommend your restaurant to people we know and we’ll visit you again the next time we’re in Halifax. Thanks again! We’ll miss your restaurant!!

We were there for lunch and found the food to be lacking in taste and flavour. On top of it the waiter spilled hot coffee all over our table and it went all over my pants and he apologized. Luckily it was not scalding but...I had on a brand new pair of pants that was the first time I wore them. Luckily they were navy blue and the coffee did not stain them but it was not a pleasant experience at all. My husband had a few appetizers and I had a main course and the one coffee and our bill was over No wine or dessert etc. No extra charge for the coffee in my lap! To add insult to injury he did not offer anything to make up for his blunder. He even charged us for the coffee and did not offer a dessert or anything for compensation. Needless to say we won't be returning to that restauant.

My friend and I had dinner here and the food was amazing!!! I had the lobster linguini and the flavours were on point. Service was phenomenal. Overall great night out and experience, would highly recommend!!

My husband and I ate here for lunch while visiting Nova Scotia. What an amazing meal. We ordered the lobster rolls. Our waiter was friendly and nice. He brought out some bread first with roasted pepper hummus, which was really good. Next came our lobster...rolls with salad and fries included. Simply delicious. The only mistake we made was that we waited until the last day of our stay to eat here. We would’ve been back a couple of times if we’d eaten here sooner. Highly recommend this restaurant.
