My wife ordered the steamed clams along with the caprese salad and both were excellent! We shared the Brussel spouts, which may have been the star of the show, for me! I ordered the chicken parm which was also good! $15 for a decent bottle of Malbec was a nice touch!
Food is good, but very limited menu. Popovers are DELICIOUS! Bartender looked down his nose at us, and acted like we weren't hip enough to be there bothering him. On another occasion, all lights were on and there were people sitting at the bar at 10:00 on a Saturday night, but when we walked in, that same bartender told us the place was closed. The smug and conceited attitude have completely turned me off to this place. Haven't been back since.
Blah. I gotta agree with the judgmental vibe that other people are talking about. Our waiter, Trevor, failed to mention that my $40 meal (shrimp and scallops) was a cold dish (so, heads up it 's a cold dish lol)... couscous was literally freezing cold and I don 't really find Luke warm scallops super appetizing either. I mentioned it to him casually that it was a little chilly and he said very rudely oh I usually tell people it 's a cold dish... ok but you didn 't tell me, Trev. We then heard him telling the staff numerous times in the kitchen about how I mentioned it was cold almost in a mean girl manner. It was strange and it made me incredibly uncomfortable. Honestly for that alone we won 't return.
Brunch review - 3 words: get there now! We had a fantastic brunch filled with amazing food, a great ambiance and a wonderfully attentive waitstaff.
Sunday brunch club hit the Southtowns and I am glad we did! This was such a pleasant experience start to finish.
