Kampai sushi bar was one of my favorite experiences in hamburg and we did not even eat in the restaurant! while we waited for our fresh sushi menus to be made (only about 15 minutes for 2 x boxes of 12 pieces, the owner came...out to us with a little appetizer to tickle our taste buds. he and the waitress (his wife, maybe? were incredibly welcoming, friendly and put big smiles on our faces. the owner asked us what our favorite fish was and made the little taster on it. so sweet. also the guests who filled the place (very limited seats, only 6 seats made fun with us and were very supported by the owner. overall such a beautiful mood and not to mention the sushi! it was simply amazing. the presentation of eating was so beautiful and it was perfect. besides sushi there were additional sites like seaweed salad, gurkensalat and marinated bambus shoots. so good. the owner insisted that we all tasted them and we were not dissapointed! we do not regret to stay! when they go to hamburg, they must visit the kampai sushi bar. do not let them be fooled by the fact that it is between bars on a side street to the reeperbahn. it's a real gem. many thanks to the owners for such a wonderful experience that it heats our hearts!
Excellent place to eat sushi quickly! I was out with a friend in a night. they were not disappointed! I love the personal, it's always nice to speak Japanese to someone. I recommend

This was some of the best sushi we've had. One of our group was vegan and this was no problem, they adjusted the menu, supplementing avocado and mushroom for fish. The food was presented very well in a boat shape. We also drank the saki...which was served in little wooden boxes. Friendly owner who also models! Bespoke menu created for a set price at the outset.
