La Famille - Hamburg

Basic crepes, nothing too fancy. Just wanted a sugar-lemon crepe. Nothing extravagant ! Did not exist. There was cinnamon and sugar but no lemon. The lady looked at me like it was an offense ! I went with the flow. The crepe was ok. Very basic. I had asked for an espresso and it came at the same time. The lady tapped on the window to tell me to come and get it ! Impressively rude and unexpected ! Unbelievable. I went to pick it up and they must have made it at the same time of the crepe. It was cold ! So all in all, very disappointed ! How simple is it to make a coffee and crepes ! Service below anything I would experience and expect.

I loved the decor inside. Definitely the facade doesn't do it justice. It is tiny inside, though, but grab a table and enjoy a nice crepe and a drink. I didn't try the croques, which looked very large. I didn't get the impression staff was overly friendly

We have been living in Hamburg for 15 years and this is one of our absolutely favourite places to go for quick and tasty food whether it 's for lunch or dinner or in between. Croques are toasted french baguettes with different kinds of fillings. Reasobable prices, great ambience. Highly recommended. Try the Feigling Croque with Pesto Dressing and roasted onions. But please don 't come here in herds, we like the intimate atmosphere. :
