This authentic Italian but crowded table to table restaurant delivers what it promises a typical family Italian cuisine. From a minute kitchen, the attentive staff do their best to get the food out to the guests at the small tables. Pizzas of good quality and...the one with razor thin truffle slices on the cheese seemed good value. My Pizza Napoli and the Lambrusco fitted well together with their robust flavours.

Situated in an old building full of character the restaurant offers a broad Italian menu, cooked well and served with a smile.

We went because of a gift certificate. We DID make reservations via phone but arrived to find that the restaurant had reserved us for the wrong day. BUT we were seated. The food and service was good, but the venue is cramped and quite noisy....All was efficient. But the service did NOT speak or offer English as an option. Italian or German. Would we return? Doubt it. Nothing wrong except it was cramped and noisy.

Most visitors might not realize which kind of rather unusual plants for HH grow here:grapevine , figs etc. while swallow up a pizza , thinking that's italian kitchen. Instead following the recommendations of the host who's a cook , not a waiter , even he'll...bring the food . Take time to eat and drink there as he does going every day to the market to get fresh ingredients instead of selling frozen and microwaved food from some supermarket. Italian kitchen is simple ,local (means many types in a country which stretches km from both to south), clean and seasonal , not the smudgy stuff on pizza-dough you find often labeled italian !
