Cumin India - Hamden

I stopped in here for lunch by myself on the day before thanksgiving. I was the only one eating in the dining room and I received excellent service. I was served papad with three sauces while I decided what to order. I love papad! It was fresh and crispy and the sauces tasted good, but they're not my favorite. I prefer to eat papad plain. I ordered the dal palak and it was delicious. It was served with fluffy jasmine rice. I also ordered garlic naan which arrived hot and was perfectly garlicky. All of the servers here had exquisite manners. They were friendly and respectful. There was plenty of food... in fact much more than I could eat in one meal. My server packaged up the leftovers nicely and I was on my way. I will be sure to eat here next time I'm in the area!

We consistently order from cumin and we have never had a bad meal! All of their dishes are full of flavor and travel well for delivery. We are happy to still be enjoying Cumin!

Very enjoyable meal, each dish was well prepared. We had the lamb masala, Lamb vindaloo, chicken curry, butter chicken and the appetizer that was a combination of samosa and channa masala. Also has some rita, naan and garlic naan. The service was prompt and friendly. All and all we all enjoyed our meal. Food is definately five stars, I only deducted one star for ambiance because the decor and atmosphere needs a little sprucing up. Highly recommended.

Not only was the food delicious but authentic. Best Indian food in New Haven county!!! Our server was so nice and considerate, cute little spot and a very good find.
