Well tonight was not great in Beaumont St Hamilton. We tried The Grain, service and presentation was not great, we left and went across the road to the Sinofood and low and behold, same thing. 15 minutes before we were able to order, another 20 minutes and no drinks and then I look over at another table and the family seemed confused as to the meals they had received but continued to eat. I looked at the meals and saw that they ordered the same as us.... Ah no they didn't... It was our meals... the waitress advised them it was not their meal... I understand mistakes can happen but please advise the people... (us) that there has been an error and our meals will arrive shortly oh and so sorry that your drinks have still not arrived.... We politely got up and advised the waitress we were leaving as we have not received drinks, meals or acknowledgement. Oh lordy what a nite. Now home having cinnamon toast. Our son even brought our toast to us and took our plates.... Ah service is so hard to come by. Please, anyone in the hospitality industry who reads this, patrons are paying to have great food, fantastic service and a clean environment. Not hard!!!
Awesome yum.cha. beautiful authentic chinese yum cha. The panfried pork buns are beautiful. Prawn dumplings to die for. Not a big selection but what they do they do well. Keep in mind you go here for the food not for the decor!
We intended to dine elsewhere, but amazingly, 2 parking spaces appeared right outside this restaurant. To save a walk, with 2 babes in strollers, we chose Sinofood It was a great choice, the service was prompt and friendly, prices reasonable, food was tasty and fresh, hot and spicy as ordered and milder as required. A reasonable wine list too. This may be our go-to restaurant in future. Additionally, as the womenfolk took the kids to a show, we had the advantage of the Kent Hotel just up the road for the afternoon
This is the first review I have written but I am compelled to do so! The food here was actually not too bad but the place was very dirty. The menu's were disgusting and almost falling apart as they were handed to us. The floor was slippery and dangerous, both a waitress and my son nearly fell over on the slippery floor. On top of this we waited over 30 minutes for our food and it wasn't even busy.
