Perfect for quick dining. Loved the soft shell crab bun, the tuna tataki and the bbq corn with miso butter, chilli and parmesan. Yum yum. Attentive staff
Amazingly tasty Korean food! Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Perhaps its a little westernised , so might not suit everyones palette, but if you haven 't tried Korean food before then this would be a great introduction. The high chairs for babies are pretty simple and in fact, a little scary. Standard ikea ones would be better!
Usually not a fan of modern Asian as the dishes rarely improve or is as good as the original but Kong BBQ has managed to surprise me. We ordered the Korean fried chicken wings and the ssam sauce was amazing, sticky with the right amount of sweet and spice. The Kong BBQ platter was also a winner, the only let down was the dumplings, just average. The only critique was the servings are a bit stingy considering the price of the dishes. Modern fit out though a bit cramped and noisy.
Of the same milieu/owner as Chin Chin and Hawker Hall, Kong is amazing. While the food at each is beautiful and individual, the thing that stands out here is the service. On arrival, we had two attentive and beautiful waitresses fussing over our very need immediately. What a pleasure. The fitout here is outstanding: it’s an old fire station so relevant pipes and taps are incorporated into the visual offering. Food arrived quickly, and was just superb. Prawn and scallops dumplings, chicken bao and a special broccoli Asian style. Mixed with special really special fried rice, and this place is a “go to” venue. Great and simple wine list. Try here. Fantastic.
