Burgers Beer Of Hammondsport

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was subpar; the wings lacked crispiness and the sauce was flavorless. I requested cheese sauce on my French fries, but they arrived limp and covered in an unappetizing brown sauce. Everything tasted very bland. The atmosphere left much to be desired; I had to wipe down our sticky table myself. The hostess was not welcoming and seemed quite unhappy. Overall, I felt I paid way too much for an unpleasant dining experience with terrible food. Service: Dine-in.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. We were staying nearby in Hammondsport and were looking for dinner. We walked in 50 minutes before closing and other than 4 people at the bar, were the only patrons. The girl that took our order was incredibly rude and seemed annoyed that we were there. Same goes for the guy working the grill. We ordered at the counter and of course, this is a place that asks for a tip when you order, before you know how awful the experience is about to be. This was our worst experience in all of the Fingerlakes, which was otherwise great. Most people we encountered were warm and welcoming. The girl taking our order was pleasant and joking with the other patrons at the bar. The cook was forced to acknowledge us when we asked for something. We ate our bland burgers and fries and left immediately. Never once being thanked or checked on. I have no idea how this place is open if this is how they treat customers. I read some other similar reviews and can't help but wonder if those folks have anything in common with us. Don't go here, this place doesn't deserve your business.

Good atmosphere and good food, good service. (My husb ordered cheesteak and he said he thought the meat had been cooking all day and they were stingy w onions and peppers. My fish was excellent. I visited this restaurant for lunch today, and I was really impressed! I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger, and it was fantastic. The sweet potato fries were delicious, too. If you're in the area and searching for a great place to eat, I highly recommend this spot. They also have vegetarian options and the atmosphere is friendly. Service was excellent for a dine-in meal during lunch!
