Kay's Cafe Bakery - Hampton

The café is clean and well-maintained, clearly cared for by its owners and staff. The baristas are friendly and attentive. We ordered americanos and cappuccinos and settled down to share some treats: an Oreo cheesecake, a rich brownie, and chocolate mousse. The coffees were strong and flavorful, while the desserts were indulgent yet not overly sweet! The portions are generous, allowing us to enjoy half and save the rest for later. The following day, we tried the bacon avocado scramblers and breakfast burritos, both perfectly prepared with a delightful blend of flavors. We had an outstanding experience at Kay's Kafe and will definitely make it our first stop on any future visits!

The coffee is amazing, and the cheesecake is as delightful as ever. The staff are excellent and extremely knowledgeable about the desserts.

We have visited this bakery frequently, but my experience yesterday was disappointing. I stopped by to pick up a slice of carrot cake for my mother at the nursing home. Unfortunately, the staff behind the counter were rude and unhelpful. One employee was busy with a large DoorDash order, and when she told me to go to another register, the person there responded that they couldn't assist me because they were occupied as well. Feeling dismissed, I ultimately walked out. While I understand that orders take time, it's unacceptable to disregard a customer who is right in front of you. Moving forward, I plan to seek out other bakeries to try. I should note that I've never had an issue with the desserts themselves; it's just the service that has been lacking.

Absolutely delicious! The lattes and tea are reasonably priced and definitely worth it. They also offer cake slices and various baked goods. You can sit at one of the small tables and enjoy a book if you’d like to relax for a while. I'll be returning the next time I'm in the area!

I ordered an Apple Spice Cake filled with apple pie filling between the layers, topped with buttercream frosting and a caramel drizzle. It was absolutely amazing!
