I read about Prinos and decided to try something new. We were really surprised. It is a family owned restaurant. The service provided from the beginning to the end was excellent. They make you feel welcome. Their hospitality was genuine. Food was flavorful, seasoned well! My daughter tried the Dubai Chocolate Crepe and she was elated (her words). I did had some food restrictions due allergens and the young lady (Joanna) offered to do an alternative dessert. THANK YOU! It was delicious too! I never had a service like this before. Will definitely return. I hope their food quality and services don't change as they continue to grow.
To start with a minor point about the service, it's worth noting that Prino's is not alone in this, but since there is no table service for dine-in customers (you have to pick up your food, clear your table, and get your own drinks), it seems inappropriate for the register to prompt customers for tips. On a more concerning note, I've had several recent experiences where the young women at the front have been exceptionally unfriendly. On one occasion, I picked up a large takeout order only to discover, upon returning home 20 minutes later, that several items were missing. While I should have checked, I didn't expect this level of oversight. When I returned to the restaurant about 45 minutes after picking up my order to retrieve the forgotten items, the staff member didn't apologize at all; she simply handed me the missing items. Most recently, on August 15th (noting the date for management's reference), my mother and I visited the restaurant. My mother is accustomed to a Mediterranean place in her hometown that offers a variety of regional cuisines, so she was trying to gather more information about what Prino's has to offer. Unfortunately, the employee was exceedingly rude to both of us. For instance, when we inquired about the difference between shawarma and gyro, she paused, let out an exasperated sigh, and shot us a hostile look before declaring that they were "all the same meat" without further elaboration. We’re simply two women from Florida who may not be familiar with the finer points of Mediterranean cuisine. This was an opportunity for her to help educate us, but instead, she chose to roll her eyes. In summary, while the food is fairly good, it's not enticing enough to warrant feeling pressured to tip 20% when you’re doing your own bussing and being made to feel unwelcome.
Additionally, I had every intention of placing an order, but I wasn't about to wait and potentially have an accident while trying to do so. Your restroom policy led me to Five Guys, where I appreciated being able to use the facilities before making a purchase. I understand that you have the right to implement such policies, but I also have the right to express my dissatisfaction and share my experience in this review. Your restaurant created and enforced this policy, and as a result, I’m leaving this 1-star review as a direct consequence of that decision.
Get the honey old bay wings and the Dubai crepe. 10/10
