12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill staff are little off hand as they don’t need to try in order to receive a tip. Tips should be discretionary and staff should ‘earn’ them. Food ok but nothing special pasta slightly under cooked and the steak burger was made with onions which overshadowed the flavour of everything else. We could hear the kitchen staff from our table who were swearing at one another. The best part was the building itself lovely. We’ll be giving this one a miss.
Me and my husband came into the Queens to grab a bite of dinner. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was AMAZING! My husband had the Fillet steak sandwich and I had the crab and king prawn linguine, both exceeded our expectations. Also, a great selection of drinks for drinkers and non-drinkers alike. The real star of the show was definitely the staff though. Well done Queens crew, 5*
The Queens' Sunday menu had been recommended to me. I checked the menu: it said the sirloin of beef is served pink. It wasn't; it was brown. More to the point, it was too tough to eat (and I've got all my teeth! and fairly tasteless. The carrots were OK. The green veg was somewhat overcooked. Since I was lunching with someone I don't know that well, I let it be. She ate maybe half of her porchetta. However, I was surprised that my uneaten meal was removed without a query about why it was practically untouched. The coffee was good.
So friendly , until I told them I only had cash. I am olds school). their whole attitude changed , and the ‘ manager’, even turned her face away from me mid conversation. It put a damper on the evening. Plus the beef was really fatty, and cold too. Wouldn’t bother
