It was a unique dairy based beverage with millet. I got beef with peanut sauce with rice and my coworkers got several different dishes. My dish was ok. Not as much peanut flavor as I had hoped. The dishes were served with a very spicy hot sauce. The chicken and plaintain dish with peppers and onions looked amazing. So did the whole fried fish with plantains. This was a fun place to try. I did wish I got a different dish with plantains. I did notice how dirty the floor was in the establishment. It was a bit of a turnoff. Otherwise it was a fun dinner out that felt like N exotic trip to another place.
Good took 40 minutes to make after being told 20 minutes! Then there was hair in the fufu order!!! Will not be supporting this establishment again!!! Okra Stew with Fufu
This restaurant serves the best food I've had in a long time ANYWHERE. I liked my whole fish dish so much I called the restaurant while I was eating it to compliment them. No...I do not work for them... I am not related to them. This was the first meal that I've ever had there and it was unreal. Not even close to anything else I've had. It was expertly done. Try the whole fried fish dish. It's crazzzzzzy good!!!
It's nice finding a West African restaurant in Central PA. While I don't think I would dine in, the food to go is pretty good. The whole fish dinner is really nice, with the yellow rice and beans. I prefer my plantains to be a little sweeter but the were okay overall. The j chicken was a little less satisfying as the chicken was on the dry side and not as spicy seasoned as I expected. The sweet onions were tasty as well. Pretty good, but could be better.
Doesn't look like inviting when uluou arrive but please forget about looks.. dont miss this place if uou are around Harrisburg. Authentic African and Jamaican cuisine makes you feel like you are back home.. Bless these guys.. they are the real deal more on it later... um still enjoying the meal... eiiiisshhhh
