Very tasty and had a nice spice from the corn salsa and a nice cool down from the avocado ranch dressing. Took home the po monster. Very nice southern style sandwich with a cajun kick. Great beer selection and they even have rolling rock on tap.
River City is the best place in Harrisburg. I call it my second home because I quickly became a regular customer. I especially love to attend karaoke with my friends almost every Thursday night. In my humble opinion, the sound system is absolutely awesome. The service is always quick and efficient. The food is delicious and the drinks are nice and cold. A huge, warm shout out to the best bartender Tracie and the coolest manager ever Tessa! Y'all rock!
I am playing here tonight with TJP and I love this place. They are playing such hip music. The sound system is great. The room is great!! The food was great!! Right on!!!
The blues club: the stage has room for a seven piece band (8-9 w horns), permanent side stage 32 channel board and a ton of mic stands and monitors. The seating is comfortable and adequate. The lighting on and off stage sets the character of the room for blues and jazz. The cafe: lots of seats, lots of tables, easy to get through, great view of the neighborhood from the tall windows. The chalk board adds a lot of character. Music and video piped up from the blues club so you can enjoy the show even if you 're just taking a break from darts, or stopped in for a burger. Dart room: impressive. really impressive. The dart players were claiming it as their new 'home ', during tournaments, it 's like a sports arena mixed with a casino. Bright, exciting, fun and busy! Green room: spacious, relaxing, and with a great view overlooking the surrounding neighborhood with easy access to the back entry and the side of the stage. Drinks: twelve beers on tap with a supplementing sample of bottles, extensive whiskey menu and skilled drink masters. Food: it 's bar food. done right. The menu is simple, but not too simple. The special during my visit was steak, but the burgers, wings and hush puppies were the crowd favorites. Parking: even during the opening night event there were a couple spots left in the main lot, although the overflow lot, and the car dealership across the street appeared to be at capacity. There is also a large parking lot across the street past the gentlemen 's club that is shared. All in all room for hundreds of vehicles. Synopsis: when a big name act and a dart tournament share the night, this place is an all night buzz of life. The crowd is diverse, friendly, and fun just like the establishment. There is fun for the 20 'somethings and for the retiree in you. There is a wide plethora of blues, jazz, and other scheduled to take the stage and the dart scene just picked a new home. One of the most exciting things I have witnessed in the entertainment world. Oh, and did i mention the gentlemen 's club is across the street? I have been to and worked and played at clubs across the midwest and midatlantic and this is the most unique location with a dedicated music venue I have been to. I would rank it on par with The Metro in Chicago, the Big Al 's Gilligan 's Jazz Club trio in Peoria or The BOB in Grand Rapids. If you are a music lover you should be here, if you are a musician you need this on your tour and if you 're a dart player,. you 'll want to get familiar with what may be your championship tournament location.
River City Blues Club Dart Room was the perfect place to host my first Club Comedy Show in over 24 years, Tessa and the crew was excellent and the food was top shelf. No one complain about the prices of food or drinks, the sound system was awesome and I cant wait to return April 22nd..
