Knowing we would be traveling through Harrogate, we discovered this restaurant online and made a reservation in advance. It was a pleasant surprise to find a separate vegan menu available. Both my husband and I ordered the 'Nourish Bowl' with falafel, which included lentils, quinoa, crispy chickpeas, avocado, roasted cauliflower, mooli red cabbage slaw, watercress, and slow-roasted tomato toast. It was delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed the hot polenta cake with vegan ice cream. We were also impressed by the reasonable prices.
I had lunch here for work. The Plant-Based burger was good, but the Salted Caramel Billionaires Bar was incredible!
Really impressed with the vegan menu. It feels well planned, rather than an afterthought. I particularly appreciated the choice of 5 desserts: a rare treat at a non-vegan restaurant. The blackcurrant mousse on a biscuit base was similar to a cheesecake and absolutely delicious. The soup and caramelized onion tart I had were also really tasty.
A very nice pub with a garden as impressive as the building itself. We were only there for a drink but the member of bar staff was welcoming, chatty and fast with the service. All the interior decor is clean and modern but the garden is a wonderful space. Although no one else was sat there, the sound of running water in the pond is relaxing and it feels like living in your own country manor! Plenty of seating and tables suitable for groups are also present. It’s not the cheapest of pubs but for a more special occasion I’d certainly return.
