(daughter tasty bites) I have immersed myself to get the 10% collection discount, 25.% when they go over £20 and order a bubbled one. the menu I couldn't find online, so here it is. only high-quality Chinese.
I've been a couple of people who can eat Chinese restaurants in my time. in that did much more than a couple. the usual offer is the classic buffet, they take a plate and fight with other customers about the last slightly cute pieces of their and all the others) charling dishes. even worse, I would stare at an empty court, with other hungry dunes waiting to replace it. chikayan is a refreshing change, all you can eat is disher served with teller, fresh and order on her table and what makes it a difference! all they can eat is a limited version of their a la carte, but there is a lot on it to get their mouth water and satiate their Chinese demand. I started with BBQ retrievals, but did not get those tiny little ones they expect in Chinese restaurants, oh no, I got two full size ribs mildly flavored and fall out of the bone with a sweet dip sauce. good start. as a lover of all dinge smoky I ordered the smoked chicken, which was tasty with a good, non-greasy) battery with chopped earlylingsaufion and green chili. I also have a fair share of the size. my partner ordered the chiu yim tofu, tofu pieces with a beautiful crisp tempura style again with chopped earlylings wobbles and green chili. a very delicious veggie or non-option. next was a must-knit classic pancake. again a good portion size about a quarter of a duck) with freshly steamed pancakes and the usual feed lines. you really notice when it's been hanging around for too long to get all dry and cumsy, but that was definitely not the case here. moisturize and crispy skin. they really can't argue with it! I went to the main course for crispy shredded bark with red chili, that was the only thing I ate, which is not upsetting me. a bit dry and although I know with this dish, they usually think “where is beef” but that was an extreme case, mostly broken but I still give tasty. to object to this, I have selected from their main course list “Mix and Match”, garnish in Szechuan sauce. immediately after the feeling of the texture of freshly cooked garnels in my mouth, my believe in chikayan has been restored! it is a rare thing in the did at all that they can eat, not to end with chewing overcooked or precooked garnels. my partner chose aubergine in black bohnensoße and it was delicious. a real classic for me and they did it very well. the egg frying we ordered on the side was light enough for two people and was perfect. washed down with a few tsingtao beer not included in the price), it was a very good meal and for the price, £16.00 per person daily £18 available on Saturday), they really cannot go wrong. the atmosphere and the service were very good to adjust the quality of eating, I had no problem to pay their 10% service fee. So chikayan changed my perception, what all they can and should be. to think of all the great freshly cooked food with attentive staff and a warm mood and I didn't even have to get up from my chair.
I have only tried their take away, food is good and portions very decent. Looking forward to a dine in experience.
This is the first time I have had a take-away here and the food was exceptional. I really like the Chow Mein with the bean sprouts as this was thinner noodles and soft beans sprouts so I was pleasantly surprised. I had the vegetarian crispy duck pancakes and the Chilli Asparagus (apattizer). All very tasty and I will certainly be ordering or eating in from here again.
Really nice food. Fair price. Good staff. I would like to go again.
