Old Ghan - Hawker

The experience was underwhelming. The food tasted like it had been microwaved and was served lukewarm. Given the restaurant's name and the prices on the menu, I expected a much better meal, but my partner and I were left quite disappointed. The service also fell short; it wasn't friendly, and the overall atmosphere made it difficult to enjoy our meal. The food itself was bland and served in small portions.

The restaurant is located in a lovely old building, which adds to its charm. A group of five of us dined there over the weekend. While the wine selection was quite expensive, it was pretty good. However, the owner and waiter, Bob, came across as borderline rude. When we requested a slight change to one of the meals, he responded dismissively, saying he had already asked the kitchen and could form their spirit for them. The pasta sauce tasted pre-packaged, and all our meals arrived lukewarm, as if they had been microwaved. The lamb was cold and tough, which wasn't very enjoyable. If you choose to eat here, I'd recommend sticking to steak or schnitzel.

The restaurant located in the old railway station has a lot of charm and character. The wine selection from Sevenhill is impressive and reasonably priced, which is definitely a highlight (although I'm not sure if they serve it at the table). However, most of the food seemed to be reheated and not served hot enough. I would recommend sticking to the steak and carving options for the best experience. Unfortunately, the host was quite abrupt and unfriendly, which made the visit less enjoyable.

Bob should learn how to interact with his customers instead of being grumpy to his guests, cleaning the toilets would be a great start in a really disgusting condition
