Hummus House - Hawthorne

On Sunday, I visited this restaurant for the first time after reading about it on UrbanSpoon for Mediterranean cuisine near LAX. The location is somewhat unremarkable, situated near the closed Hawthorne Mall, down the street from a Home Town Buffet, and right next to a Pizza Hut. However, the interior features beautiful Middle Eastern themes with decor like pillows, tents, and unique lighting. The portions are generous and priced very reasonably. The chicken and lamb were both delicious—cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. The staff was polite, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. I will definitely return, especially since it’s great for larger groups looking to enjoy plenty of food!

We enjoyed fresh and flavorful food in generous portions at a very reasonable price. Parking was easy, and we didn’t have to wait at all during our two visits. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Although they don’t serve alcohol, we keep returning because the food is just so delicious.
