Contribuisci feedbackI reviewed Guiseppe?s a couple of weeks ago with 3 bad experiences, the last being a couple of weekends ago when the entire experience was extremely disappointing. Maybe shortening it and changing the expletives will help get it to show? I called, spoke to David, and ordered a large pizza and calamari for delivery, at 2:26 PM. He said they don 't have a delivery driver on Sunday, until 5 PM. I then tried to pay over the phone as I always do, I was told that he was, in theback and it 'd be easier for me to pay when I pick up. My boyfriend stood, waiting for 5 minutes (he?s waited 10 previously) for the food to come up, this time, while an inappropriate conversation about getting ?effed?(the other word) up ,was going on between an older male employee and the hostess, while another employee went to look for our food. The hostess then went to look for the food as the other person didn 't come back and she knew it was ready , she returned withthe food. When we opened it at home, we were immediately disappointed with the calamari as it was about a handful. Not worth the $10 it says on the website and on the menu, I have in my apartment. Further, they charged me $14 for thishandful of cold, soggy calamari (picture posted of receipt and menu). I called and asked to speak with the manager. The male (sounded younger than the original man I ordered with), said, sure, and put me on HOLD. I wanted to share ournegative experiences, so they could fix the issues. I was left on HOLD over 3 minutes and hung up. The pizza is good but I wouldn?t recommend anything else and the service is wretched.
The Italian food and pizza at this restaurant are really great. It's hard to find a place that excels at both, but this place does it. The Stuffed Shells are delicious, and the Carbonara, Lasagna, and Rattlesnake Pasta are also very good. The Rice Balls and Cherry Pepper Poppers are enjoyable, but be warned, they are very tangy. The staff is friendly, the owners are wonderful, and the building has a diverse atmosphere. The outdoor seating offers a nice view of Old Town Haymarket with mountains in the distance. The bar is a bit divey but fits the atmosphere well, and the upper hall is great for events like parties or wedding rehearsals. The main dining area is nice, though it can get a bit loud. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, and the wine selection is on point, especially their $7 house red. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try.
The Kid's Pasta (approximately 1.5 cups) costs $12, but it does not include any sides or drink.
The service for our party of over 20 people was incredible. We were there to celebrate and honor our father after his funeral. The food was excellent and they were able to accommodate several dietary restrictions, including vegetarian options. I highly recommend dining here, as you will not be disappointed.
My food was pretty good here, but the price seemed high for the portion and environment. One modest plate of chicken alfredo with 2 breadsticks, and one cannoli, after taxes and tip came out to $30. I'm kinda over the old restaurant experience.
