I reserved a table for two people at this time no one told me that on the date the conditions (not necessarily, can be decided by the owner) . I and my colored girlfriend went there with actual test results and we had to go. I feel very...bebarrassed I was a customer for over 4 years and known by the owner with name and face i will never go there again
We were looking for a Spanish restaurant and honestly, this was not our first choice, but based on the reviews that were here in heidelberg in the average. it was a little disappointing from the beginning when we just reserved a table and we. an rude hallo as answer to our hola. ok, we can understand that maybe not all workers are Spanish or even speak Spanish. we booked. When we arrived here, it was shocking not to find any note that we were in a Spanish restaurant. we were greeted politely, but we realized that no one was Spanish. the menu is a chaos between Spanish and German. After the order we had to wait more than 45 minutes until 3 tapas could be served, as the other table that came later was served first. the gambas al ajillo were, let's say, the choice of red wines and rosé wines is limited: there are only 4 different varieties, one French and another is a house wine. we order another 3 tapas that took longer than 30min to be reused. the champiñones al jerez were delicious and perhaps the best choice we met. to culminate in dinner, we ordered a requesón con miel, which was surprisingly frozen (and literary). it was delicious, even if this has nothing to do with what we call requesón con miel in Spain, it was more like an ice cream with honey and mand. the waitress was very thoughtful, actually more than our waiter responsible. for the last time we visited several Spanish restaurants in the region the black forest, and unfortunately this is our so far worst experience.
I compared that with the Spanish restaurant in baden baden baden. the tapas was better in baths, tenderer cooked and with tastieric dives. it also had estella damm! however, the paella was here with more taste and taste tastier. two people have to order paella. but the part can feed three easily, especially if tapas are eaten as appetizers. serves san miguel on the license in Germany. the restaurant is located in a quiet street between the railway station and Bismarck Square. closed on Sundays. worth a visit.
Don robert is by far one of the best places for tapas and hang out. it is a relaxed place and I suggest that they plan their visit, reserve the table and of course the excitement is best with some of the...best friends who are cozy down and have endless chats about wein, small portions of tapas that are freshly prepared. they personally take care of the needs of their host and ensure that they have a nice time.
