Wiener Schnitzel was prepares freshly and quickly, Käsespätzle was also great. The prices are also okay considering the location. It looks like a family is running the place, they are very nice people.
At the end of the Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe section of the High Alpine Road you come to the views of Grobglockner mountain and the Pasterze glacier. As the Alpine Road ends it enters a multi story car park (free when we were there) and you can park and either walk or get a funicular to the glacier, take a hike up to the glass viewhouse, visit the museum and exhibition center shop and get something to eat. We selected this place because the menu looked decent and they also did what I would term as meal snacks proper dishes but not full size. an example was egg and french fries for under €6. The seating area is nice and there are some tables outside but you are next to a mountain and above a glacier and so even in summer the wind blows cold. Inside is comfortable with enough seats for 100 people. It is a counter service but the meals are cooked fresh for you whilst deserts and drinks are collectable to your tray as you move along. basically pay for your stuff and then sit and a waiter will bring your hot food over. It was simple and tasty and just what we wanted at that time in the day but if you wanted something more substantial then that was available too. The Apfel Strudel was not the cheapest in the country but considering where you were and the logistics of getting produce in then it wasn't extortionate either (like some tourist traps can be). Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time there and would heartily recommend a visit if in the area.
Kedves a kiszolgálás finom friss ételek vártak minket a csodálatos házi készitésű süteményekről nem is beszélve! Biztosan bemegyünk ha megint arra járunk !
