Sunrise Cafe - Helensburgh

I visited this restaurant because C lives nearby and had mentioned coming here for lunch. I really should have tried what they ordered, as it looked delicious. Instead, I ended up making a different choice that I now regret.

C had the breadless chicken and halloumi avocado burger, which consists of grilled chicken tenderloins, spinach, grilled halloumi, red onion, and tomato, all topped with chipotle mayo, half an avocado, and hemp seeds. I opted for the beef brisket burger, which features slow-cooked smoked BBQ brisket, old cheddar cheese, coleslaw, and chipotle mayo on a milk bun. Unfortunately, the BBQ sauce was overly sweet, and the bread was a bit tough to chew, which I didn't enjoy. I usually like to order dishes that I can’t easily make at home, but C suggested getting the avocado toast instead. The place is dog-friendly and has a cute atmosphere, but I think I would return to try some simpler items on the menu.
