Lovely restaurant and attentive staff. The food was delicious and loved the mini desserts with a hot drink. Treated my family with ten year old twins and they ate every single bit of their dinner. Lots to choose from for all ages.
We stayed in the travelodge upstairs and visited here for a drink before walking into town for a meal. The passion fruit martini is one of the best I've had!!! The meal in town was quickly cancelled after viewing the menu here. Everything sounded so good!. The restaurant didn't disappoint as the stonebaked pizza and duo of lamb was absolutely beautiful. The honeypot and creme brulee for dessert was just as good can't wait to visit again.
We visited the Commodore several times last week during a family visit to Helensburgh. My first visit was on my own and it was such a great experience, I returned with family again twice last week. A big thank you to my waitress Heather on that first occasion. I'm Coeliac and she was most helpful in adapting dishes to suit my needs. There were plenty of GF options including a blackberry and apple crumble for pudding, a rare treat for coeliacs. Subsequent visits with family (and dog) didn't disappoint. Staff were welcoming and helpful, leaving a very positive impression. We sampled several dishes during our visits, all of which were delicious. My favourites were the scallops and king prawn starter and the sea bass for main. Excellent!
