The Beck Tea Room - Helmsley

I only tried the scone, but it was delicious. The other meals served at nearby tables looked beautiful, with generous portions and lovely presentation. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, typical of Yorkshire hospitality. The only downside is that it was a bit small, and they had to turn people away. Overall, a great experience but not quite a five-star venue.

What a delightful experience! This charming tea room offers a wide variety of homemade dishes. I enjoyed what felt like an endless pot of Yorkshire tea along with a delicious obstkuchen and some Wensleydale cheese (I know, it's a local favorite!). My wife opted for a lovely latte and a tasty cheese. We finished our meal with some decadent ice cream, all served by friendly staff who certainly weren't to blame for the thunderstorms that caught us on our way back to the car!

Great variety of food, drinks, and cake! The location is charming, and the staff are wonderful. This is the ideal tearoom!

A super place for lunch My Wife Marian and I elected to have the Scampi and chips with a pot of tea. Excellent friendly and prompt service. The food was and presentation were top class, completely fresh as was the excellent salad which accompanied our meals. Well done to all concerned we will be back to see you in the not too distant future.ps an excellent cuppa rosy lea too!

We enjoyed the organised and friendly welcome at the Beck Tearooms. We'd been elsewhere in the Town and ended up walking out as we didn't know what the restrictions were and no staff to guide us. As soon as we arrived at the Beck Tearooms we felt relaxed, lovely toastie, fabulous cream tea, scones were delicious and the coffee was lovely, strong and hot. Great service too.
