Love love love this restaurant, my husband and I have driven up from the Mornington Peninsula to dine at this quaint family owned restaurant many times. We come back every year for our Wedding anniversary. We just love the atmosphere.
One of the most UNDERWHELMING places I've been to. Me and my wife went to this place in the hopes of a reasonably priced good italian restaurant. We ordered rosemary balls as a starter. The sauce was good but the balls themselves were incredibly dry, has me worried about indegestion! Then our pasta's came out and it was really easy to see that, while they took their time cooking the pasta, the pasta is straight from a packet. Probably the only thing they cook here is the sauce. I had the house special, which unfortunatley wasn't great. My wife has the bologonese sauce which was okay, but I could easily make this myself, and I'm no chef. That goes down to about a 3/10, but then take into account frozen cheese to sprinkle on your dish and the fact that we aren't allowed to take photos without the people there looking at you (as apparently you aren't allowed to take photos of the roof), gives this place a low low rating.
One of the most amazing nights out in a long time. The staff are amazing. Halfway through our meal the owner came out and gave us a little history lesson about the place and the family which made you feal like you were at their house for dinner so welcoming and friendly. The food was great!!! I have never tasted mushrooms like that before so full of flavor and was a wow factor. Cant get mushrooms like that at all in melbourne. I would take the 2 hour drive from melbourne every weekend to eat here. Amazing
